Ogilvie Fleet has become the second company in its sector to secure Investors in People Silver Standard accreditation.

Managing director Gordon Stephen said: “This really is a fantastic achievement, and like the customer service awards we keep winning, it makes me feel exceptionally proud of our company and tells me that we have managers and staff who are working together to provide excellence within our business.

“It is impossible to be a successful company offering a top quality service without motivated staff that feel valued and actually enjoy their work. I have always felt that we have a special company and this is further proof that we are getting things right most of the time.”

Ogilvie Fleet, which employs 65 people across its offices in Belfast, Birmingham Sheffield and Stirling, first achieved Investors in People accreditation in 2001.

Stephen added: “To deliver high quality customer service a business has to employ motivated staff. Gaining Investors in People Silver Standard means that our staff are motivated to go the extra mile because if they did not believe in the company or the management we would not have achieved the award.

“Employing high quality staff is the key to a successful business because customers will always gravitate to companies that deliver a high quality service. The various awards that we have won underlines Ogilvie Fleet as a quality company.”

Now instead of going through three-yearly Investor in People assessments, Ogilvie Fleet has introduced a programme of continuous assessment to ensure it retains industry leadership as expansion to operating a fleet of more than 11,000 vehicles looms with aspirations for a fleet size of around 12,000 company cars and vans over the next two to three years.
