Buy one get one free at fleet conference

Fleet decision-makers are being incentivised to attend Jaama’s popular one-day Fleet Management Essentials seminars in the autumn.

The seminars, hosted by the fleet management software and occupational road safety specialist, focus on best practice and the impact of legislation in a number of key areas including: grey fleet management, car salary sacrifice schemes, employee driving licence checking and carbon footprint cutting strategies.

Seminar prices have been held at the reduced price of £295 + VAT per delegate including all course documentation, policies (usually priced at £120), lunch and refreshments.

However, each fleet decision-maker registering their interest by the end of August will receive a £50 discount voucher or a ‘buy one get one free’ voucher if two or more employees from the same company wish to attend a seminar at the same venue.

The Fleet Management Essentials’ programme has seen attendance from a wide cross-section of full-time professional fleet decision-makers as well as administrators and managers who have the responsibility but not necessarily the experience or specialist knowledge of running a fleet of vehicles.

Ahead of finalisation of the dates and venues for the October programme, fleet decision-makers are being asked to register seminar interest by contacting Collette Dooley at Jaama on 0844 8484 333.

Ellie Whiten, Jaama marketing manager, said: “From the responses received we will ensure seminars are held in locations easily accessible to those people.”

Almost 1,000 people have so far attended Jaama’s fleet seminars where they have been able to learn about best practice strategies in key operational areas, the very latest legislation and forthcoming regulatory changes, and the application of fleet strategies that will deliver cost savings.

Whiten said: “Our entire seminar programme has proved very popular in the more than nine years it has been running.

“The seminars are particularly attractive to administrators and, managers who have the responsibility but not necessarily the experience or specialist knowledge of running a fleet of vehicles as well as fleet professionals who require an update on new legislation and a refresher on best practice and new developments in managing a fleet of vehicles.

“The whole area of fleet management can be daunting, especially in the current climate of stringent cost control, environmental impact reduction and ensuring comprehensive duty of care for employees. In addition, we recognise and appreciate that operators of smaller or employee-owned fleets do not always have the luxury of a full time dedicated fleet manager and often the responsibility for the fleet can be across departments meaning that the impact of new legislation and refinements to best practice can be missed.”
