CAP Automotive has appointed Andrew Fellows to head its newly launched CAP Consulting service, as part of the on-going expansion of CAP’s products and services.

Fellows is the fifth key operational leadership appointment made by CAP to help drive accelerated growth, following acquisition of the business last year by one of Europe’s top flight investment specialists, Montagu Private Equity.

His brief, as head of CAP Consulting is to help customers

  • Understand issues affecting their brands
  • Implement business goals
  • Unlock more value from product portfolios
  • Reduce risk exposure
  • Build business cases
  • Increase revenue and profit
  • Gain competitive advantage

CAP Consulting will provide bespoke analysis and business intelligence tailored to specific customer needs, delivering tactical and strategic support in a range of formats. These include special market studies, new-product-to-market reports, portfolio management and risk avoidance advice and bespoke web services to help drive commercial goals.

The CAP Consulting service will work across all of CAP Automotive’s existing core markets, including vehicle manufacturers, regional and national sales companies, retail, finance and leasing companies, government bodies and trade organisations.

Andrew Fellows brings a wealth of top flight consultancy experience to the role, with a track record that includes senior international roles with automotive brands, including Audi and BMW, as well as at leading consultants KPMG, where he held the post of European Automotive Partner.

Additionally, he has experience of developing consultancy services from the ground up, having also operated independently across the European automotive sector, focused on helping automotive and other clients in the fields of production, sales and logistics.

He said: "CAP has long provided high quality consultancy services, but generally on an ad hoc basis, and the opportunity to build on that strong foundation by developing a fully resourced and clearly defined consultancy proposition was too exciting for me to miss.

"We have an extremely talented team, with unrivalled experience across all the sectors served by CAP, supported by the industry-leading benchmark data assets that already make CAP Automotive the leader in its field.

"My career has always been about identifying ways to generate more revenue and profit for customers by unlocking new opportunities, driving out risk and laying secure foundations for well-founded decisions that grow businesses.

"CAP’s commitment to growing the CAP Consulting service makes this the perfect home for me. Furthermore, from my initial conversations with customers across CAP’s core market sectors, I have been struck by the fact that the market appetite for our freshly-launched offering is even stronger than I originally envisaged."

As head of CAP Consulting, Fellows leads a specialist team comprising Mark Norman (operational development manager), Stephanie Falconer (international business development manager), Alan Wormall (business development manager), Matt Freeman (CAP Consulting specialist) and Michaela Hill CAP Consulting coordinator).

The CAP Consulting team is augmented, as appropriate, by industry experts drawn from all the key operational areas of CAP.
