BCA's first sale in September set a new sales day record, selling 240 cars for a turnover of £1.6 million to achieve the best result since BCA Glasgow opened in 1983.

The sale featured a big entry of cars from Peter Vardy, Lookers and UKCGR and attracted a large crowd of buyers to BCA Glasgow, with over 100 buyers also participating via Live Online.  Over 81% of the entry was sold on the day, with Lookers selling 103 cars out of 105 entered for a 98% conversion.

There was also a good result in the Thursday LCV sale at Glasgow, which sold 135 vans for 99% of CAP, including a strong performance from Lex Autolease.

Stuart Beith, BCA’s general manager for Scotland, said:  “Our dealer sale launched in January this year and has gone from strength to strength.  We offer a great selection of vehicles from Peter Vardy, Macklin Motors, UKCGR and Lookers every Wednesday, including prestige and executive saloons and 4x4s, MPVs and family cars and economical hatchbacks and superminis. “

Beith added: “The early sales in September have been extremely busy in Scotland, attracting large crowds of buyers and plenty of competitive bidding.  With the ongoing shortage of good retail quality used cars and vans, we are expecting a strong September at BCA Glasgow.”
