More than a third of the 247 fleet businesses surveyed by TrackCompare said that this year’s heatwave caused their sales to fall.
However, 50% reported happier staff.
Just over 8% said more staff took sick leave.
Almost 17% said more staff took sudden holidays.
Despite the scorching heat not a single fleet business relaxed its dress code – as the full survey shows.
