Prestige Motor Care, parent of Prestige Fleet Servicing, has announced the appointment of Martyn Lewis as chief executive officer. He assumes his role with immediate effect.

Lewis joins the company to oversee the expansion programme which the business has already commenced, and which it expects to accelerate over the next three years.

His background within the fleet management, leasing and transport industries includes periods as operations director at Leyland DAF Financial Services and commercial vehicle operations director at Automotive Leasing and LeasePlan UK between 1994 and 2000.

He was director of commercial vehicles at Arval and managing director of Artegy, the HGV fleet management arm of BNP Paribas, between 2001 and 2005, and did a stint with Transport for London between 2005 and 2007, during which he oversaw a strategic advance in waste disposal management within Greater London.

Lewis said: “I’m joining Prestige at a time when we will be embarking on further expansion of our UK network, adding significantly to our service centre capacity during 2014. This will provide us with an even wider geographical capability to the benefit of our growing customer base.

“I look forward to working with our team, our partners, our customers and our service centres”.

Welcoming Lewis to his new position, PMC chairman Bill Daulby said: “We are delighted to have secured Martyn as our group’s leader.

“I worked closely with him for several years during our time within the LeasePlan UK group. His wide experience of our industry from every perspective, coupled with his strategic knowledge and personal capabilities, make him the ideal choice to drive forward our expansion plans over the next few years.

“His attention to detail, his ability to bring decisive action to fruition and his motivational approach to people management provide us with the perfect mixture to ensure we deliver on our performance targets.”
