David Goodyear has rejoined Epyx this week as head of business development for procurement platforms.

He will be responsible for the 1link Disposal Network and 1link Vehicle Network, both of which are already in use by a number of major fleets.

Goodyear  is well-known in the fleet and motor industries with a track record dating back more than 20 years.

Notable experience includes 10 years as a director at Kwik-Fit Fleet, followed by managing director roles at AA Tyre Fit and Farmer Autocare.

He also spent several years at Epyx as head of business development.

He said: “I’m very pleased to be back at Epyx working on our procurement platforms. These are products that are already used by dozens of major fleets but with some excellent new developments being launched shortly.”

1link Disposal Network provides large fleets such as car leasing companies with the means to control their entire defleeting process online while giving buyers – usually used car dealers – the ability to search and bid for this stock.

1link Vehicle Network is designed to simplify the car and van ordering process for fleets who purchase new vehicles and the franchised dealers and manufacturers who supply them.

Both platforms form components in the 1link cradle-to-grave fleet vehicle life cycle with e-commerce platforms covering vehicle procurement, service and maintenance, taxation and rental.
