Speedy has appointed Certas Energy as its national fuel partner.

The strategic partnership with one of the UK’s largest independent fuel and lubricants distributors means that Speedy’s customers will now benefit from more competitive fuel prices and have access to a supply network which delivers over six billion litres of fuel.

Together with Certas, Speedy will have a combined capability of more than 1,000 tankers servicing every UK postcode and over 150 Certas Energy refueling depots nationwide.

By partnering with Certas Energy, fuel can now be delivered anywhere in the UK – even in remote and inaccessible areas.

A dedicated Certas Energy account manager, who will be based at Speedy’s head office in Haydock, will be on hand to discuss flexible purchase options, general customer service enquiries and bulk fuel orders.

Jim Williams, northern regional director at Certas Energy, said: “Speedy’s power division has seen major expansion over the years and is regarded as one of the UK’s leading generator hire businesses. This strategic partnership is a fantastic opportunity for both companies and we look forward to developing a long-term relationship.”

Brian Cornett, managing director of Speedy’s Power Division, said: “This strategic partnership has strengthened our position as a leading UK power hire specialist, and by joining with Certas, we are proud to have one of the strongest power fuel offerings in the UK.

“We’ve been providing our customers with specialist power products for the past 14 years and by partnering with Certas Energy we’re now able to service the power generation demands of all sectors and industries.

“What we are essentially offering our customers is a one stop shop; as well as an unrivalled product range we are also now in a position to supply competitively priced fuel combined with the highest levels of customer service, supply reliability, operational efficiency and sustainability.”

Speedy’s fleet of fuel tanks feature state of the art telemetry which monitor fuel consumption and alert customers when a refill is required to eliminate any downtime.

“We can help our customers minimise fuel spend, streamline the administration process and benefit from quick and easy refueling at strategically located sites throughout the UK,” said Cornett.
