Vehicle rental company Burnt Tree has made the final shortlist of the ‘Best Short-term Rental Company of the Year’ category of the 2014 Fleet News Awards.

The Shrewsbury-based company operates 16,300 vehicles out of 21 strategically located branches throughout England Scotland and Wales.

It will find out if it has been successful at the awards evening at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London on March 19, in front of a packed audience of more 1,550 invited industry guests.

On hearing that the company had been shortlisted as a potential winner, Metcalfe, chief executive of Burnt Tree,said: “Not only is this an important event for the industry but for Burnt Tree it is the recognition by industry peers of the many years of hard work and devotion by everyone at the company.”

Hosted this year by BBC News’ Kate Silverton, with entertainment from  comedian Jimmy Carr, the ‘Fleet News Awards’ event is recognised as one of the most influential and important awards evenings within the UK fleet industry.

Now in its 26th year, the event recognises the best people, companies and vehicles in the fleet industry.
