Shell has expanded its Shell FuelSave Partner proposition to include an integrated advanced fuel and fleet management service for heavy goods vehicles.

The new offering, which was developed as part of Shell’s Technical Partnership with Omnitracs Europe unites Shell’s comprehensive fuel management services with the fleet management services of Omnitracs Europe in a single telematics unit.

It also offers a single online management portal, called FleetVisor – providing a complete overview of fuel and fleet operations. In doing so, the service can help commercial road transport fleet operators identify opportunities for operational improvements and fuel savings, optimise and structure communication with drivers and stay compliant with the EU Working Time and Driving Time Directives.

Frederic LeBallois, Shell FuelSave Partner business manager, said: “Fleet managers often find it hard to gain a complete overview of fleet and fuel management information, as each system tends to come with its own specialist hardware, software and user interface. Our new Shell FuelSave Partner service addresses this challenge by providing a single solution developed by Shell, experts in fuel management, and Omnitracs Europe, experts in fleet management.”

Mark Warner, managing director at Omnitracs Europe, added: “Shell and Omnitracs understand how tight the margins can be for road transport fleet operators. We are therefore proud to collaborate with Shell on a service that not only provides operational efficiencies but can help reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions.”
