Leisurewear retailer Cotton Traders has appointed e-commerce and fulfilment provider Prolog to manage a multi-channel system.

The new system integrates the Cotton Traders shops with its home shopping and e-commerce channels.

In addition to handling the high volume fulfilment and returns processing, Prolog will be responsible for the delivery of Cotton Traders’ entire retail logistics, utilising its own transport fleet.

Speed, quality and accuracy across the supply chain are crucial to ensuring the Cotton Traders customer experience.

The Cotton Traders’ integrated home shopping and retail logistics operation will be located at Prolog’s Sherwood Park facility in Nottingham.

Working with Dematic, a provider of intelligent warehouse solutions, the facility will benefit from a substantial investment in mechanisation and infrastructure, with the aim of delivering an industry leading solution.

Guy Smith, joint managing director at Prolog, said: “We are extremely pleased to be working with an established brand like Cotton Traders. Prolog’s experience and capabilities, together with a new, semi-mechanised operational solution, the first of its kind in Europe, will deliver the efficiencies, consistency and flexibility that Cotton Traders require.”

Caroline Allerton, supply chain director at Cotton Traders said: “Prolog’s demonstrable experience in delivering service excellence aligns with our own service oriented philosophy.

"This is why Prolog was the choice for us, not only do they have the infrastructure and integrated technology we expect from a sector leader, but their flexible and results driven approach is paramount to meet our requirements.”
