A charity auction held to celebrate the 25th birthday of CD Auction Group has raised £10,000 for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

The charity donations were collected during a special vehicle auction held to mark the 25th anniversary of the company’s founding and an online charity auction of sports memorabilia and tickets, open to the general public.

Roger Woodward, managing director of CD Auction Group, said: “I’d like to thank our suppliers, vendors and buyers in the motor industry, and the wider public, who helped us achieve our aim of raising £10,000 and made our 25th birthday an event to remember.”

Jenny Pearce, fund-raising executive for Great Ormond Street, who collected the cheque from staff at CD Auction Group, said: “This donation will make a huge difference to families and patients treated at the hospital. I would like to thank CD Auction Group and all their suppliers and supporters who have raised such a generous amount.

“We use the funds to help redevelop the hospital, provide state of the art equipment and pioneering research, and welfare for families and patients.”
