Bedford-based BBS Fleet Logistics, which specialises in providing support and logistical services for leasing companies and large national fleets, has launched a new version of its website.

The new site - www.bbsfleetlogistics.co.uk - has enhanced functionality, as well as providing a news service featuring some of the latest topics in the UK fleet market.

BBS Fleet Logistics provides support and logistical services to some of the UK’s largest leasing companies and independent, national fleets, and works closely with sister company and fleet management specialist, Ampthill-based IFC Fleet Services.

The company offers a fleet logistics service including vehicle movement, storage and, where necessary, refurbishment.

It also offers a fleet ‘re-home’ service, which applies when an employee in a large organisation moves within the business to another part of the country, leaving behind their company car to be reallocated to the next incumbent.

At the fleet client’s instruction, BBS Fleet Logistics collects the car, refurbishes it to the required standard, stores it in a secure compound if required and then delivers it, in accordance with the client’s deadline, to the new driver.

Managing director Colin Cripps said:  “We have been in the fleet market for almost 25 years and have been privileged to work with, and win the trust of, a wide variety of fleets and leasing companies.

“Our culture is based on providing total reliability when collecting and delivering vehicles, security when fleet assets are in our care, and accountability when dealing with any refurbishment costs.

“So we wanted a fresh new website with a new look and feel which better reflected our company ethos and philosophy. The new site does that and we are very pleased with additional functionality, and the look and feel of it,” he said.

Amongst other features, the new website includes feedback from fleet customers to the services that BBS provides and these have been seen as very positive.

Ian Bluck, senior manager business support and facilities at Lex Autolease, said: "BBS Fleet Logistics, by adapting to changes in our and our customers' requirements, has become an increasingly important supplier as the need for their vehicle storage and logistics service has grown in our customer base.

“The team are very helpful and the high standard and level of repair is always appropriate to the age and mileage of the vehicle, whilst consistently also representing good value for money."

Denise Lane, head of group fleet at Capita, added: "BBS provides Capita a very effective one-stop-shop for our vehicle collection, refurbishment and storage requirements and are flexible enough to also make quick turnarounds if necessary.”

Cripps added: “We are delighted with the new -look website, the additional functionality and the comments from some of our key customers.”
