UKDN Waterflow, has seen a 50 per cent reduction in overall job lifecycle and associated paperwork after deploying TBS Enterprise Mobility’s TaskMaster platform on Nokia Lumia 625s to its field-based engineers.

UKDN Waterflow took a decision to migrate to smartphones from rugged PDAs, which are more typically used in the industry. In an unprecedented timeframe of just two and a half weeks, TBS was able to configure, integrate and deliver the TaskMaster solution to 19 of UKDN Waterflow’s depots.

Nick Powell, business systems director at UKDN Waterflow, said: “We pride ourselves on delivering a consistently high level of service to our customers. The PDAs no longer met our requirements but the business case to replace them did not stack up. By rolling out TaskMaster on smartphones instead, we were able to considerably reduce the cost per device and transform user experience.”

Since making the change, UKDN Waterflow has seen the device usage rate rocket by around 400 per cent, resulting in a high level of consistent process adherence and data capture. TaskMaster’s customizable workflows have also enabled UKDN Waterflow to provide a personalised experience for their domestic and commercial customers.

Steve Reynolds, managing director, TBS, added: “TaskMaster offers UKDN Waterflow real-time visibility of individual engineers, giving them the ability to proactively manage their workforce. The newly streamlined processes ensure engineers are much less reliant on returning to branch. UKDN Waterflow is part of an ever increasing trend in adopting smartphones, which enables rapid return on investment and business case justification.”

Powell concluded: “TBS have been phenomenal, their partnership approach was crucial to the success of our ambitious project. The rapidity of deployment in particular was incredible, providing a full enterprise mobility platform configured to our exact requirements in a very short space of time.”
