Comparemyfleet.com ‘saves’ SME cash

Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) can make savings in time and administration by turning to CompareMyFleet.com to source their company cars and vans, the fleet vehicle comparison service claims.

Quotes obtained for clients by CompareMyFleet.com across a wide selection of vehicles, contract lengths and mileages show up to a 52% difference on monthly lease rates on the identical model with an average 27% difference between the highest and lowest monthly rental rate per vehicle, it says.

It added that customers also pinpointed the administration efficiency as being critical in their decision to turn to CompareMyFleet.com to source vehicles.

Fleet decision-makers accessing the CompareMyFleet.com website provide required vehicle details including whether with or without maintenance, annual mileage and replacement period.

Within a couple of days, decision-makers will receive a report containing quotes from a basket of leasing companies on a per vehicle basis enabling them to make a choice that also contains key potential supplier terms.

Andrew Levers, finance director at Chesterfield-based cardboard box manufacturer Corrugated Case Company, which operates a small fleet turned to CompareMyFleet.com.

He said: “The whole process was straightforward. It saved me time and effort not having to do the rounds obtaining individual quotes.”

Nick Coleman, director of Marlow-based healthcare procurement specialist ProCure Health, said after using CompareMyFleet.com to source his own new company car: “The company made it easy to compare the key terms offered by each supplier so I could make an informed decision.

“Running a small business, I don’t have time to look at lots of quotes. We have a further six cars in our fleet and as they come up for renewal we will definitely be using CompareMyFleet.com again.”

CompareMyFleet.com director Neil Birkbeck said: “Many of our customers are non-professional fleet managers who do not have the time, expertise or knowledge to go to the market, compare and contrast suppliers’ offers and source vehicles that are fit for operational requirements.

“The CompareMyFleet.com team uses its procurement experience to provide a consultancy service to clients to help them maximise financial savings, select additional added value services and highlight any hidden terms and costs included within the quotes.”

He concluded: “Our customers are telling us that the savings in time and stress as well as financial - and the fact that CompareMyFleet.com is totally independent of any vehicle leasing provider - has completely transformed their fleet procurement process.”

The CompareMyFleet.com service is free to end-user fleets with the company charging the supplying leasing firm a small fee per vehicle delivered.

Great idea for some but does it allow end users to compare dehire damage differences, excess mileage arrangements and in life event differences etc that will differ with various leasing suppliers?
