Police investigating a car crash which resulted in the deaths of father and son, Simon and Harry Hill from Total Motion, are trying to trace the driver of a black BMW.

Simon (pictured), group managing director of Total Motion, and his son Harry, who was head of fleet at the vehicle leasing and fleet management company were killed in the crash on the A50 on Sunday, April 16

The two men, who were in a Bentley Bentayga which left the carriageway and struck a bridge pillar on the A50 in Derbyshire, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Simon Hill was well-known in the fleet sector having founded the vehicle leasing and fleet management company Total Motion in 1999.

The business, which is based in Leicestershire, was ranked 21st in last year’s FN50, with a risk fleet of 10,116 cars and vans.

The collision occurred on the eastbound side of the carriageway between Toyota Island and Chellaston at around 10.15am on Sunday, April 16.

Investigations are ongoing and officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or who has dashcam footage.

A Derbyshire police spokesperson said: “We are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a black BMW which was travelling behind the Bentley just before the collision as they may have information which could help with our investigation.”
