The Westminster Energy, Environment and Transport Forum will examine the next steps to improve air quality across the UK on Tuesday, May 17.

Delegates will assess the findings of the current Parliamentary Select Committee inquiries into diesel emissions and air quality and air quality, as well as the European context following recent approval of a new cap on six key pollutants.

Further discussion will bring out the latest thinking and research into the general health implications of air pollution, as well as the action being taken by high-emission industries and the transport sector.

In addition, it will examine the key lessons that can be learnt from areas that have already implemented low emission zones and what further action Local Authorities can take to further reduce air pollution.
