The Driver and Vehicle Licence Agency’s (DVLA) online licence-checking services – View Driving Licence and Share Driving Licence – will be unavailable this weekend due to maintenance.

The DVLA says that its licence-checking systems will be unable to verify National Insurance numbers from 9pm today (Friday, November 20) to 7am on Monday (November 23).

The Check Driving Licence service will continue to operate as normal. This will allow car hire companies or employers to access driver records using any check codes generated prior to the disruption period.

The DVLA’s premium line and contact centre will continue to operate as normal during their standard opening hours, Monday to Friday from 8am to 7pm and Saturday from 8am to 2pm, to provide drivers, companies and employers with the normal checking and confirmation service.
