IT infrastructure services supplier Computacenter is set to save £2.5 million over the next five years following the renewal of its company vehicle agreement with Lex Autolease.

The deal, which will see the UK’s leading vehicle leasing provider supply Computacenter with more than 1,100 cars and commercial vehicles up to 2020, will take the partnership into its second decade of working together.

The vehicles form the flagship part of the Hertfordshire-based IT business’ benefits package for its 4,000 staff located across the UK.

Lex Autolease provides the firm, which recorded an annual revenue of more than £1.4 billion in the last financial year, with a blended scheme of contract hire and employee car ownership to reduce costs and ensure financial neutrality to employees.

This approach is set to deliver the business annual savings of £500,000.

Keith Cook, deputy financial controller at Computacenter, said: The length of our working relationship with the team at Lex Autolease is testament to their understanding of how we operate as a business, and the reliable service and efficient scheme architecture that it provides.

“Keeping our teams on the road is essential in providing the services our clients have come to expect, and through the savings made we’ve been able to re-invest back in to the business to drive future growth opportunities.”

Dave Le Feuvre, corporate relationship manager at Lex Autolease, said: “We are delighted to be extending our relationship with Computacenter and the ongoing partnership with the UK and European market leader is a source of pride.

"The cost-efficient funding scheme, together with our fleet management and driver services, allows us to deliver exceptional value while keeping Computacenter vehicles on the road.”
