Automotive data specialist Cap HPI is launching its global business at the Paris motor show this week.

The company has built a European data set to support the first phase of its growth plans and will underpin its insight and data services with a new global coding system.

It plans further global expansion in the coming months.

The move follows a raft of appointments to strengthen its industry insight team led by Adrian Rushmore who has moved to an international operations director role.

He said: “Our global operations will have technology at the centre of all data activities, from collection and processing, through to delivery and the development of new applications.

“We have created a global hub in the UK to ensure our systems, coding, data collection processes, and valuation methodologies are consistent, scalable and repeatable for every country that Cap HPI enters in the coming years.”

Cap HPI’s plans are underpinned by a globalised approach to automotive data.

The new code will enable businesses to take a unified view of global trends, and see efficiencies across all operations that use new and used vehicle data.

Matt Thompson, marketing director of Cap HPI, said: “We believe a single global code will help the industry drive innovation and growth throughout the vehicle lifecycle. Data led businesses will be able to scale internationally in a fraction of the time and with much less cost.”

The existing Cap code, which has underpinned the motor industry in the UK for 30 years, will run alongside the new code and receive support indefinitely.
