Asset and driver management software firm Jaama is reporting revenues up 18% year-on-year.
The UK-based business restructured last year to promote further expansion across Britain and for the first time into global markets, along with an intensive employee recruitment programme that has seen around 30 new jobs.
Additionally, Jaama’s policy of continually investing in its multi award-winning Key2 software to ensure that it remains in the vanguard of asset management solutions available to public and private sector fleets, contract hire and leasing companies, daily rental businesses and plant management operations has further helped drive the volume of customers using the system to unprecedented levels.
Jason Francis, chief executive, said: “2016 has been our most ambitious year to date. Last year we focused on putting in place the building blocks that would enable Jaama to expand to a completely new level.
“Re-organisation of Jaama at senior management level and the appointment of new staff across all departments - notably software development, customer support, sales and administration support - was critical to enable the company to both support existing clients and work in partnership with new ones.”
He continued: “As a result, 2016 is shaping up to be a fantastic year with an 18% increase in revenue across all the sectors in which Jaama delivers its Key2 software solution.
Last year Jaama restructured its business into four territories - UK and Ireland, Australasia, North America and Europe and the Middle East - specifically to target international growth as well as continuing UK expansion.
Simultaneously the company expanded its board of directors to five with the promotion of Michelle Morgan to operations director with responsibility for customer support and implementation and Stuart Mills to development director. They joined Mr Francis, managing director Martin Evans and IT director James Thresher in the boardroom.
Francis, who assumed the role of chief executive to focus on the strategic development of the company with Evans promoted from sales director replacing him as managing director, said: “The UK fleet market is the most mature in the world and Jaama is not only the leading supplier in the sector, but is also the most recommended fleet management software solutions provider in the country.
“UK organisations collectively operating more than 700,000 vehicles now rely on Key2 and they recognise its class-leading functionality enables them to deliver a wealth of benefits that drives fleet operating efficiency, management and control. They wanted to replicate that effectiveness in other countries in which they operate and have increasingly turned to Key2.
“Additionally, businesses across the world look to the UK because of the maturity of the market. They see the industry-leading position that Jaama holds and so look to us to meet their software requirements.
In addition to its global, UK and European headquarters being in Tamworth, Jaama has established a head office in Sydney to serve the Australasia markets.
Francis concluded: “Jaama’s growth has been driven by demand from fleets, leasing and rental companies and the plant management sector for modern, future-proof technology which delivers cost savings through automation and integration.”
Additionally Jaama continues to invest more than £2 million per year on software development that keeps Key2 at the cutting edge of management solutions.
Francis said: “We are working on implementing several major projects and expect to announce new software developments in the near future as they are rolled out to customers.
“Additionally, we also anticipate to further increase our near 80-strong employee headcount to meet further business growth in the remainder of 2016 and into 2017.”
