Fix Auto Croydon development doubles production

Fix Auto Croydon has successfully completed the first of a two-phase multi-million pound investment programme.

Owners Nick and Mark Boret have relocated their entire business to a 40,000 sq ft building just a stone’s throw from their previous site. The move, it says, allows the entire operation to be situated under one roof, which will streamline processes, increase efficiency and raise productive output to more than 80 vehicles per week.

The new bodyshop has been equipped with the latest equipment, including a double-sized spraybooth capable of accommodating two vehicles or the longest LCVs.

Work on the second phase is now underway, and includes the installation of a glass viewing wall spanning the entire width and height of the bodyshop.

Operations director Rachel McGuinness said: “While it served the company extremely well, our previous site was spread over several buildings which wasn’t conducive to the modern needs of a bodyshop and was holding our progression back.

“Being under one roof enables us to adopt new processes and procedures which, combined with the very latest time-saving equipment, will significantly increase productivity.  While these are still early days and there’s still building work to be completed, we are already witnessing the improvement.”

Mark Boret added: “What we have developed here is one of the biggest, greenest and customer centric repair centres in London, if not the UK.

“We believe that delivering the ultimate unique and outstanding customer experience is central to our long-term future as a leading bodyshop, and this investment puts us in pole position to achieve just that.

“We think that being transparent is key, and to achieve this we are installing a large glass viewing wall that enables the customer to see, first hand, their vehicle being repaired and, more importantly, the care and expertise that we apply to every repair.”

Ian Pugh of Fix Auto UK, said: “What Nick, Mark and their team have delivered is an exciting development, not just for their business but also for the whole Fix Auto network.

“I am extremely proud to say we have yet another franchisee at the forefront of the industry, creating additional capacity for our insurer clients and offering an outstanding and unique customer experience, which is one of our core differentiators.”
