Airmax Remote has launched Maxcam, an onboard dashcam solution that can integrate with remote telematics.

The dashcam aims to improve proactive claims management with FNOL (first notification of loss) devices.

It also provides a live feed of on the road driving for high-risk events, which are sent within seconds.

Medium or low-risk events, such as near misses can be stored on an SD card and downloaded up to eight weeks after.

The Maxcam “captures GPS data at 10htz (ten times per second), compared to an industry standard of just 1htz (once per second),” claims Airmax.

The system provides live incident reports with the ability to view driver league tables based on safe driving behavior, alongside immediate access to real-time video footage.

Maxcam can be fully integrated as part of the Airmax Remote telematics system, which expands the functionality to include the recording of collision notifications.

Airmax Remote’s managing director Richard Perham said: “Airmax Remote’s MaxCAM, when integrated with the Airmax Remote telematics system, will make a huge difference to the accuracy and cost of vehicle fleet insurance claims.

“It will also improve driver behavior and boost the duty-of-care credentials for businesses.

“We are confident that MaxCAM represents one of the fastest FNOL devices currently available today and will give fleet operators that extra peace of mind when it comes to insurance claims involving a third-party.”
