Santander Consumer Finance will sell its first cars through Aston Barclay at the remarketing company's Prees Heath fleet sale on January 17

The finance brand will be selling up to 60 voluntary terminations, repossessions and ex- PCP and PCH cars as a monthly benchmark against its current auction company.

It is the first time in 10 years it has adopted a second remarketing provider.

The Prees fleet sale offers more than 300 used cars each week. It will expand from six to 12.5 acres over the coming 12 months after recent planning permission was granted by Shropshire Council, providing the centre with additional service opportunities.

January will also see Aston Barclay launch phase three of the Buyer App which provides instant messaging and notifications direct to specific buyers.

Vik Hill, managing director of Santander Consumer Finance, said: “As we continue to grow our business the new benchmark sale makes sure we keep a more expansive eye on market prices and used demand."

Martin Potter, Aston Barclay’s group operations director, added: "We are pleased Santander has chosen Prees to launch its monthly benchmarking exercise. Investing in refurbishment prior to sale means Santander’s used stock is always of a high quality when it reaches auction."
