Hudson Kapel Auctions renamed CD Salvage Auction following merger

Andy Brown CD Auction Group

Hudson Kapel Auctions has been rebranded to CD Salvage Auction, as CD Auction Group takes operational control of rthe business.

CD Salvage Auction will continue to remarket vehicles and demonstrates CD Auction Groups’ continued integration into the Arctos Holding operation, which acquired the business last September.

The Arctos Holdings portfolio also includes SMH Fleet Solutions, which offers a range of vehicle support services for manufacturers, dealer groups, leasing and rental companies and vehicle fleet providers of all sizes.

CD Auction Group’s managing director Andy Brown (pictured) said: “Merging Hudson Kapel Auctions into the CD Auction operation presents some fantastic opportunities for us to offer wider remarketing solutions to our joint customer bases.

“There are considerable synergies as well as opportunities to build on best practice from both operations that can benefit customers of both businesses.”

CD Salvage Auction auctions will continue to use a sealed bid format where registered buyers can view vehicles and submit closed bids online by 1pm every Wednesday and this approach is unlikely to change in the future.

Brown said: “Hudson Kapel is highly respected in the auto salvage sector, they have an established and trusted auction process that buyers value.

“I am sure, through bringing the two businesses together, we can offer improved services as well as expanding the client base and ensure that we remarket client’s vehicles through the most appropriate auction format and to the right buyer base.”
