Shropshire Greenhous PDI Centre wins new MG contract

The 35-acre Greenhous Village Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Centre has welcomed the arrival of the 1.5 litre petrol MG3 Form Sport and Style Plus models as part of a major contract with one of the UK’s leading car rental businesses.

Greenhous fleet operations director, Kevin Swinnerton, said: “We are delighted to have won the contract to PDI the MG3 vehicles on behalf of a major car rental partner.  Our staff have received training and the software and laptops are in place for the PDI of the MG3.

“We have a contract to receive a good flow of MG3 cars each month and this is well within our capacity.  We can turn around this size of order within a day. MG imports its cars into the UK and our transportation agents deliver them to us via transporters.

“The Greenhous Village is a busy site and we are actively seeking new partners for our PDI provision.

“This is a first venture for MG into the rental fleet world and we are pleased to be a partner in this venture.”

MG Motor UK’s head of sales and marketing, Daniel Gregorious, said: “We’re only just beginning to see the potential of MG in the UK.

“MG is the fastest-growing car brand in the UK, with sales increasing by over 100% versus the same period in 2017. This growth has been driven by the launch of the fabulous All-New MG ZS compact SUV which sports fantastic value-for-money and a 7-year warranty.

“We now have a great range of cars and the future is very exciting with new models and cutting-edge technology on the way.”

The Greenhous Village has been open since Feb 2107 and has seen considerable development in that time with extra capacity coming on stream later in 2018.

The business is looking forward to welcoming new partners for its PDI operation.
