Arval has signed an exclusive remarketing contract with Manheim to deliver services for 10,000 vehicles a year.

Arval operates in 29 countries, including the UK. It manages over 1,100,000 vehicles around the world and more than 163,000 cars and vans in the UK.

The deal marks a strengthening of Arval's long-standing relationship with Manheim, a part of the Cox Automotive group, with an additional 6,000 commercial vehicles and cars a year set to pass through Manheim's auction lanes.

In addition, Manheim will provide a centralised defleet service for Arval supported by its Vehicle Solutions centres at Coventry and Leeds.

Manheim has already launched a sales programme offering Arval stock at its auction centre in Bruntingthorpe, and will shortly introduce Arval vehicles into its auction programme at Manheim Colchester.

Pete Bell, MD for Manheim, said: "It is a fantastic business win for Manheim to strengthen its relationship with such a prestigious customer. We are very much looking forward to continuing to provide them with our market-leading services.

"I am delighted that Arval has chosen to offer additional volume through Manheim's auction lanes, and also take advantage of our defleet management offering."

Stuart Chamberlain, remarketing sales manager for Arval, said: "We have enjoyed an effective partnership with Manheim as the remarketing provider for our commercial vehicles for many years, and are pleased to be extending this to include cars and defleet services.

"We look forward to continuing to benefit from the great results and customer service that we have come to expect from Manheim over the months ahead."
