St John Ambulance has adopted FleetCheck’s fleet management software across its 850 vehicle fleet.

The move has been made as part of a programme realised over the past two years to centralise its fleet management provision.

FleetCheck’s national fleet manager Mike Moore said: “The centralisation process has been very much about working towards consistent standards of governance regarding the vehicle fleet in delivering ‘one way of working’ across the organisation.

“What we wanted to achieve was a national standard of legal compliance and adopting fleet management software is a key element of that strategy.”

St John Ambulance examined a variety of systems but settled on FleetCheck for its simplicity and effectiveness.

Moore said: “We could see straightaway that it would very much help us with what we were trying to achieve across the fleet in increasing vehicle visibility and control over areas like governance, and our fleet team would be able to adopt it easily, which has proven to be the case.

“From an asset management point of view, the fleet is extremely varied and the software is helping us to better track everything that is happening across all of our operations. This means we can more effectively serve communities to have a positive impact on people’s health.”

FleetCheck’s managing director Peter Golding (pictured) said: “We are very pleased to be working with St John Ambulance, who we have found to be a very professional and well-run fleet.

“As a business, we work with dozens of charity fleets and are very familiar with the particular needs of the sector, which was one of the factors that helped us to win this deal.”
