Fleet decision-makers have until Friday to submit their initial entries to the Fleet News Awards.

The deadline is October 19.

Now in its 31st year, the awards represent the pinnacle of fleet achievement. Winning an award raises the profile of a fleet decision-maker both internally and externally.

The initial entry process for fleets is easy. Simply tell us in no more than 750 words why you believe you should be shortlisted. This could include information about new initiatives you have introduced, improvements you have made, or simply your continued success in running a safe, efficient fleet of vehicles.

Anyone with fleet responsibility can enter and if you are successful, we will notify you on October 24 to begin the second stage of entry. Note, that you can bypass the 750 words and simply complete your full entry now.

This 750 words initial entry is only applicable to the fleet categories. Manufacturers and suppliers looking to enter the awards should go to the website and complete the full entry form for the relevant category.

Judged by some of the most respected fleets, leasing providers and pricing guides in the country, chaired by ex-SMMT chief executive Christopher Macgowan and fully audited, the Fleet News Awards combine transparency with robust deliberations to ensure only the very best companies and people are victorious.

Numerous studies have shown the positive impacts that winning industry awards can have on a business and its employees. Even being shortlisted can have a positive effect, according to studies carried out by awards consultancies.

“Winners receive widespread publicity and the respect of industry peers, as well as an acknowledgement of the importance of the people in their business” said Fleet News editor-in-chief Stephen Briers.

“A Fleet News award is the biggest honour in fleet.”

Awards winners will collect their coveted trophies at a glittering ceremony on March 20, 2019, at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

The fleet industry put on a show of strength in March 2018 as more than 1,400 guests gathered for the biggest fleet networking evening of the year.

While the focus of the evening was the announcement of the Fleet News Awards, its role in helping businesses to strengthen relationships and share ideas was greater than ever. So don't delay, enter now and secure your table for March in readiness for a great night.

The awards are free to enter and the online submission forms have been shortened this year.

The fleet categories are:

  • Fleet of the Year – up to 250 vehicles
  • Fleet of the Year – 251-1000 vehicles
  • Fleet of the Year – 1001-plus vehicles
  • Most Improved Fleet of the Year
  • Safe Fleet Award
