Alphabet (GB) announced that it has been recognised by independent HR certification company, Top Employers Institute, for a sixth consecutive year.

Alphabet was awarded the Top Employers United Kingdom 2019 Certification, earning the company an exclusive place among a select group of certified companies in the UK and globally.

The award is made to leading employers who demonstrate excellence in employee conditions, develop talent at all levels and strive to continuously enhance their employment practices.

Alphabet’s HR director Adam Lupton said: “Each year we set ourselves the challenge to improve our employee offering and raise the bar.

“The world of work, the nature of employment and the demands from employees are changing more rapidly than ever. As a business we’re committed to our organisational development in order to attract and retain the most talented people from across a diverse range of talent pools and skill-sets.

“We know that this is the best way for us to provide the levels of service and expertise to satisfy the complex requirements of the Alphabet customers we serve.”

Organisations certified as Top Employers are dedicated to providing the best working environment for employees through progressive, ‘people-first’ HR practices.

This global Certification Programme has certified and recognised more than 1,500 Top Employers in 118 countries across five continents.

The Top Employers Institute assesses participants through a global HR Best Practices Survey and organisations must successfully achieve required standards in a number of key areas in order to be certified.

Top Employers Institute’s chief executive David Plink said: “We believe that the 2019 Certified organisations demonstrate exceptional employee conditions and encourage the development of these practices by putting their people first.

“These companies help enrich the world of work with their outstanding dedication to HR excellence and because of this, they are recognised as an employer of choice.”
