FuelGenie and The Fuel Store have created a new partnership which they say will benefit small businesses and fleet operators across the UK.

Under the new agreement, The Fuel Store can now offer its customers the FuelGenie card solution that enables customers to use the FuelGenie network of petrol stations including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons.

The Fuel Store will be responsible for all sales, marketing and customer management while FuelGenie provides bespoke cards and processes all transactions with systems integrated with supermarkets through an API.

Managing director of FuelGenie, Robert Pieczka, believes that more and more resellers are recognising the benefits of offering the supermarket fuel card service, providing a great opportunity for businesses to save costs at a time when almost half of all fuel in the UK is already bought from supermarkets.

He said: “The Fuel Store has proven itself as a rapidly growing reseller and is highly successful in winning new customers. By adding the FuelGenie solution to its product portfolio I am confident that this will further accelerate growth.”

Managing director of The Fuel Store, Jamie Bridgen, added: “The Fuel Store is excited about this new partnership with FuelGenie and the ability to offer our new and existing customers all the benefits of a supermarket pump priced card solution.

“With fuel prices at record levels and still volatile, we expect high levels of demand for this low-cost solution.”
