Electric vehicle (EV) charging aggregator, Bonnet, has partnered with EV charging network MFG EV Power.

The new partnership provides Bonnet users access to 264 ultra-rapid chargers with speeds of 150kW across its 51 charging hubs.

MFG plans to install more than 3,000 ultra-rapid chargers with speeds of 150kW to 300kW across its 900 locations in the UK by 2030.

All new chargers will be made available on Bonnet as they are installed.

Moove partners with Paua

Moove has partnered with Paua to launch an end-to-end charging experience and EV charging network app solution.

Moove Charge provides access to more than 6,600 charge points across London.

The app allows users to locate charge points, display charge points compatible with their vehicle, show charge point availability in real-time, filter by charge speed, start and stop charging and has a wallet functionality for paying.

Niall Riddell, CEO and co-founder at Paua, said: “Soon Londoners will be able to select electric driven forms of transport for all their journeys from micro-mobility, private hire, busses and even their personal car.

“Providing a universal charging solution to enable this removes another barrier to the adoption of electric vehicles.”

The company said value-added services such as Moove Charge provide a cost-saving of up to £340 per year, or approximately 12% of average annual EV charging cost.

Moove recently raised £15m in debt financing and said it aims to scale to 10,000 EVs in London over the next three years.

More than half of business lease enquiries on EVs

Tesla Model YBattery, plug-in, and hybrid EVs combined accounted for more than half (53%) of business lease enquiries in Q3 2022, according to Leasing.com.

The company’s latest data showed that the business community continued its transition to EVs in Q3 2022, despite ongoing disruption to new vehicle supply.

The top three most popular EVs for businesses were the Tesla Model Y, Kia Niro and Polestar 2.

Across all fuel types, the Tesla Model Y, Ford Ranger and Nissan Qashqai were the most popular vehicles.

On average, businesses sought out new vehicles on three-year contracts with an annual mileage allowance of 10,000 and were looking to spend an average of £527 per month excluding VAT.

In both the business and personal leasing market, supply continued to dictate vehicle demand in Q3.

In stock vehicle offers received 43% of total sales enquiries on Leasing.com in Q3 despite only representing around 10% of the offers that were promoted.

Paul Harrison, chief partnerships officer at Leasing.com, said: “Business and consumer EV demand remained strong in Q3 and was particularly focused around the brands and advertising partners who could access stock.

“However, we did see a softening in the rate of EV growth amongst consumers as inflation and other cost pressures hit household incomes. Consumers are also amending the terms of their next lease agreement to ensure affordability.”

ND Brown adds Iveco Daily’s to fleet

ND Brown, truck rental company, has invested in five Iveco Daily’s adapted for arboricultural use.

The supplier of specialist HGVs and tippers purchased the vehicles from Guest Truck and Van.

The purchases represent the evolution of ND Brown’s fleet, replacing its previous cohort of arboricultural vehicles, the company said.

Nigel Brown, chairman at ND Brown, said: “We are continuously improving and refining our fleet to meet and exceed our customers’ requirements.

“This investment is another step towards efficiency, sustainability and purpose. The interest in the vehicles was exceptional and we are delighted that they’re already being put to good use.”

The company said the five Daily’s have all been leased to clients of ND Brown and are out working.

Jeremy Hulme, new business development manager at Guest Truck and Van, said: “This type of arboricultural vehicle typically has an extended service life, combined with low mileage, so it was important to spec vehicles that will stand up to a combination of short distance heavy use over a very long period. The Daily is ideal to meet these requirements.”
