JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions (VLS) is reporting 300% growth in salary sacrifice schemes over the past 12 months.

Current implementations, coupled with substantial growth, has seen the leasing company add another 11,500 eligible employees to its salary sacrifice platform.

To meet this increased demand, JCT600 VLS says it has invested in both its systems and its team to deliver its salary sacrifice solution.

Ben Creswick, managing director at JCT600 VLS, said: “It was vital that our service levels remain consistently high whilst implementing and launching these new customers, which led us to recruit additional top talent into our salary sacrifice department who are dedicated to consulting, implementing, and managing all our salary sacrifice customers.”

He explained: “We have continued to develop our Origo platform, as well as enhancing internal processes and adapting internal systems, including changes such as single sign-on functionality – typically through employee benefits providers and engaging with third-party supplier APIs to improve the employee journey, developing what is now a market-leading solution for companies of all sizes.

“These enhancements complement our expert team who are directly available to employees, providing personalised and high-quality support throughout the employee journey.

“From scheme launch, the team is on-hand to help employees understand the mechanics of the scheme, provide best practice advice on choosing the vehicle that is right for their needs and budget, using their expert knowledge to provide detailed advice on transitioning to electric vehicles and the in-life nuances of driving an EV.”

The new salary sacrifice team is headed up by Rebecca Eggington who has been with JCT600 VLS for more than four years and has moved from her role as head of implementation to head of retail.

With almost 15 years of industry experience, she is responsible for leading the internal team, managing strategic customer relationships, and working with key suppliers and partners that support the operation of salary sacrifice schemes.

She said: “The skills needed for salary sacrifice schemes are different to other types of schemes. The conversation with the employee has more of a retail feel and a large part of the journey focuses on scheme education.

“For this reason, it’s important for our customers that the service we provide delivers significant employee support throughout the online and in-life journey.

“There also needs to be more emphasis on marketing and communication both during the scheme launch phase and continually in life too, for those employees who are not ready to make the transition when the scheme goes live.

“Reporting is typically more complex than a traditional fleet management solution, with payroll files and reconciliations for example, and there are more stakeholders to engage with from HR and payroll to finance.”

She concluded: “Salary sacrifice schemes need to be flexible and tailored for the business as well as its employees. This is something we pride ourselves on being able to deliver for customers of all sizes.

“We are currently working with several SMEs and multiple FTSE 100 companies to deliver their salary sacrifice schemes.”
