Europcar says it is continuing to focus on the needs of business travellers and its corporate customers, with the launch of its whitepaper, Future Mobility.

As technology continues to develop, more employees expect to be able to work on the move, putting pressure on organisations to embrace connectivity.

The whitepaper collects the latest figures on mobile workforces and helps businesses face the challenges and harness the benefits of a mobile workforce.

In 2015, 37% of the world’s workforce will be mobile and by 2017, 50% of employers will require employees to use their own devices for work.

With this in mind, Europcar is helping its business customers make the move towards a modern, mobilised workforce with its guide to Future Mobility.

The 11-page guide covers the challenges, such as security and how to overcome them, as well as outlining the benefits, such as increased flexibility and productivity, as well as reduced costs associated with office space.

Ken McCall, managing director of Europcar UK Group, said: “Business travel is expected to increase 6.6% in 2015. Added to this, more and more staff expect to be able to work remotely, so businesses need to consider how they can reap the benefits of a mobile workforce.”

McCall continued: “Do you allow staff to use their own devices and how will that impact security? What are the benefits and will it work for your business?

“Our Future Mobility guide helps our corporate customers understand the most secure, cost-effective and flexible ways to give staff access to the business’s network, while they’re on the move.”
