Vehicle technology specialist Exeros Technologies is supplying its TrackEye CCTV camera systems to RAC response vans to enhance security.

The RAC vans require a range of unique features, including high-definition cameras with live-stream capabilities that work alongside the mobile data terminals (MDT) on-board each vehicle.

The bespoke system configuration means that any incidents or security breaches can be instantly monitored in real-time through high-definition video streamed live to the depot while the TrackEye CCTV system is also able to connect with the MDT and share its GPS location via 3G, using the route for the co-pilot software.

In addition to this, TrackEye takes information from vehicle inputs (such as amber light activation) and relays it back to the MDT, which allows for real-time updates each call-out status back at the RAC monitoring centre.

All footage is automatically recorded and saved to a secure MDVR unit, which is vital in the event of any roadside incidents or accidents.

Operatives will be able to assess the evidence on any device and act accordingly.

The integration was completed alongside high-intensity training, taking both teams less than eight weeks to have a fully functional rollout across the fleet.

Exeros is also releasing a range of products, including an integrated top-down 3D around view with intelligent detection and telematics as a single package.
