CMG has reported that since installing TruTac’s fleet management solution its driver infringements have been reduced.

The company had been using an off-the-shelf package but looked to TruTac for a system which would satisfy a wider range of compliance and Earned Recognition criteria.

CMG’s transport manager Rowan Harris said: “Our international recovery and auto transport operation comprises upwards of 45 trailers and 45 tractor units and it spans most European countries.

“Therefore, we needed an all-embracing management tool which would enable us to monitor and store driver activity online and to provide a simple-to-use audit trail for compliance records.”

CMG introduced the fully web-based digital and analogue tachograph analysis reporting system in just a few days.

The company has reported benefits such as 'powerful' KPI reporting for multiple depots, drivers and vehicles.

Harris said: “Not only are we now seeing a reduction in driver infringements but there is also a noticeable decrease in administration -  factors which combine to give us a more efficient and compliant operation.”

Alongside its transport and logistics service, CMG operates more than 75 tracked recovery assistance vehicles to support its nationwide breakdown assistance operations.

“Overall, we have brought infringements down and compliance up,” said Harris.
