SsangYong has updated the Musso pick-up with revised specification and added a new long-bed version.

The standard length vehicle is available in EX, Rebel and Saracen trims, priced from £21,995. A new Rhino long-bed version is offered at £29,995.

The long-bed variant provides an extra 300mm in the load area and has a higher gross train weight of 6,900Kg.

Towing capacity remains best-in-class at up to 3,500Kg while carrying a full payload.

The long-bed has an increased payload of 1,140Kg, compared to the 1,105Kg of the regular Musso.

All versions use the same e-XDi220 diesel engine, which develops 181PS and 420Nm. It can achieve an average of 29.4mpg.

The short-bed EX (£21,995) comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, a DAB audio/Bluetooth system, six airbags, electric windows, remote central locking that includes the tail gate, manual air conditioning, automatic headlights and rain sensing wipers.

The short bed Rebel (£24,496) builds on the EX specification, adding roof rails, floor mats, an 8-inch smart audio infotainment system with Google CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear-view reversing camera, leather-look seats, front seats that are both heated and ventilated, heated leather steering wheel, black and silver side steps and Rebel graphics.

Adding a premium feel, short bed Saracen (£26,996) is fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, and adds Nappa leather seats, power adjustable drivers and front passenger seats, heated rear seats, 9.2-inch screen with TomTom navigation, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors and Saracen graphics.

The new long-bed Rhino (£29,995) features automatic climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with XL tyres, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, lane change assist, dark tinted rear privacy glass, and Rhino graphics.
