Vanarama and OVO Energy launch joint EV offer

Vanarama and OVO Energy have launched a new joint offer to encourage people into electric vehicles (EVs).

The partnership enables new and existing OVO Energy customers to access the best electric car leasing deals, while also getting a years’ free insurance and a fully installed home charger.

Using OVO’s Free Green Miles scheme, drivers can convert their EV miles into a reduction in energy bills, meaning they can save money on charging their vehicle and on their household energy.

The companies believe that the new scheme creates the UK’s best value and most affordable route to electric motoring.

Andy Alderson, CEO and founder of Vanarama, said: “More and more motorists are looking to make the switch to electric motoring and we are determined to make it as easy and affordable as possible for them to do so.

“This new partnership with OVO is incredibly exciting and brings together a range of benefits to create an unbeatable offer that other brands can’t even come close to.”

From today, visitors to OVO’s website will find a new section offering a range of tools, information and impartial advice for those thinking about moving from petrol or diesel and into an electric car.

Members can then choose to be redirected to a co-branded partner site where they can access leasing deals on the latest EV models through Vanarama.

Chris Russell, managing director OVO Drive, OVO Energy added: "As a business we've set progressive goals to halve our members’ carbon footprint by 2030, as a direct response to the climate crisis. By rolling out innovative new propositions to our members to get into electric vehicles we're unlocking the huge environmental opportunity that electric vehicles offer."
