Mitsubishi's new C-SUV sector challenger Eclipse Cross will make its debut at the Geneva International Motor Show on March 7.

It is due to go on sale in the UK early in 2018 with pricing and final UK specification to be announced closer to its on-sale date.

Eclipse Cross will be available with an electronically-controlled four-wheel drive system.

It will offer two powertrains: a new 1.5-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine with a new CVT transmission with eight-speed sport mode manual override, while MMC’s proven 2.2-litre common rail direct-injection turbocharged diesel engine is modified for Eclipse Cross and is fitted with a new eight-speed automatic transmission.
