BCA is targeting growth in the South West with a bigger role for Steve Paine who will take on responsibility for the Bridgwater auction centre, in addition to his general manager role at Blackbushe.

Paine joined the company in 1997 and gained extensive experience in various roles at the company.

Darren Betteridge, regional operations director at BCA, said: “Gareth Musgrove and the team at Bridgwater have driven exceptional growth over the last two years, and Paine’s all-round knowledge of managing a high volume operation will help to strengthen our proposition in the South West to ensure that our business continues to prosper.”

BCA recently announced an extensive investment programme with major enhancements to its UK remarketing network over the next two years, covering the Midlands, north, south and M1 corridor. These come in addition to the acquisition and integration of the Scottish Motor Auction Group (SMA) business with facilities in Leeds, Wolverhampton, Kinross and Livingstone.

Paine added: “The ongoing investment and development of our network and services mean BCA is ideally placed to help our customers maintain an advantage in this fast moving and competitive environment. My larger role will enable us to ensure that our customer-led approach continues to deliver results.”
