Cazana has appointed Rupert Pontin as its director of valuations as part of the company's international expansion plans.

He joins the business from Glass’s, where he was director of valuations. He has also worked at several blue chip companies and ran his own car sales business for five years.

Cazana is currently expanding its offering to the US and key European countries. Pontin will act as a key liaison with finance and leasing companies and OEMs.

Cazana’s founder and chief executive Tom Wood said: “Rupert has a wealth of experience in vehicle valuations and remarketing which, coupled with our unparalleled data coverage and data science, creates a formidable vehicle data offering.

“As we progress with our international expansion, Rupert will be a key figure as we continue to collate and analyse vehicle data from throughout the globe.”

Pontin added: “I have joined Cazana at a very exciting time as it continues to grow its presence in all areas of the market. Access to accurate, real-time valuation data is increasingly becoming vital for the fleet and finance sectors and Cazana is in an extremely strong position to provide this.”
