CBVC, the Staffordshire-based fleet management and leasing specialist, has appointed Elliot Southerton as fleet manager.

Elliot joins from Interserve where over three years he rose to the position of group fleet operations manager, managing a fleet of more than 4,500 cars, LCVS, HGVS and specialised vehicles.

Despite being relatively new in the fleet sector, Elliot has gained a breadth of industry knowledge and experience to call upon in his new role to further developing CBVC fleet management portfolio.

He plans to combine his knowledge of large fleet management with the latest developments to optimise partner fleets and offer the latest in technological advancements to improve safety and duty of care compliance, and ultimately improve their bottom line.

Mike Manners, managing director at CBVC Vehicle Management, said: “Elliot will be a real asset to the business.

“Despite being relatively new to the industry he comes with strong fleet management experience. He has gained valuable insight into what does and doesn’t work in a rapidly changing business environment and will utilise his fleet knowledge and financial acumen to deliver effective cost savings.

“His input will assist all our clients in achieving cost savings and control, vital when fleet is often the second largest expense to a business.”

Southerton said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a business who is at the forefront of the industry implementing the latest in fleet technology and strategy.

“Part of the difficulty of large corporate conglomerates are the many hoops you’re required to jump through to implement even the smallest of changes, not something that is a problem by utilising the outsourced fleet management solution offered by CBVC.

“I’m excited about using CBVC’s extensive solutions to develop bespoke fleet packages for businesses of all sizes and very impressed at their desire to always go the extra mile to help customers.”
