Lightfoot has appointed Paul Hollick as its new managing director to grow, nurture and internationalise the business.

The former MD of The Miles Consultancy (TMC) joins after private equity firm, Volpi Capital, invested in Lightfoot last year.

Its investment is enabling the business to develop and enhance new products, which are focused on providing internal engine combustion (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) fleets with solutions that enhance driver safety, reduce costs and environmental impact.

Hollick, who is also chair of the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP), told Fleet News that he was excited by the challenge and saw great potential for the business. “They wanted a managing director to come in and grow, nurture, and internationalise the business,” he said.

“They’ve got a super proposition and the opportunity to reshape it in the EV space in terms of telemetry-led electric solutions.”

Hollick, formerly chief commercial officer at Alphabet, joined TMC as commercial director in 2014, before becoming MD of the business.

He says he left TMC with a “heavy heart” after helping to transform the mileage capture specialist while at the helm but is relishing the new challenge with Lightfoot.

Lightfoot’s driver behaviour technology has been adopted by some of the largest companies in the market, including Virgin Media, Tesco, Asda, and Dixons Carphone.

Asda alone is saving the equivalent of 2,482 tonnes of CO2 per year across its 3,000-vehicle fleet, thanks to Lightfoot’s driver-focussed technology that encourages smoother, safer, lower polluting driving through real-time coaching, its smartphone app, driver leagues and weekly rewards, including The Drivers’ Lottery cash draw.
