Victoria Knight has been appointed interim chief executive officer (CEO) with immediate effect, following the decision by David Myers to step down.

Myers had recently took some time out of the business to recover from surgery at the start of 2023. During this time, he made the decision to step down as CEO to focus on his health, rest, and recovery.

Since joining Rivus in September 2020 as group HR director, Knight has been a key member of the executive team, leading people, learning and development, and marketing and communications functions.

In that time, Rivus said she has worked closely with all business areas, and developed a deep understanding of all our operations, putting her in a strong position to lead Rivus forwards.

A Rivus spokesperson said: “Victoria has operated at director-level across multiple sectors including financial services, automotive, retail and technology, and has a proven track record of delivering cultural and business transformation, with a wealth of commercial experience.

“In her role as group HR director with Rivus, Victoria has led the development of high performing teams, investing in our people, and the integration of our colleagues across our LCV and HGV operations.

“Victoria will now continue the growth of our LCV and HGV operations, supported by our experienced executive leadership team, and will ensure we continue to deliver for our customers as an award-winning fleet supplier following David’s departure.

“We thank David for his significant contribution to the business since joining Rivus in 2020 and wish him all the very best for the future.”
