Mercedes-Benz were awarded best truck innovation of the year at the Commercial Fleet Awards 2017 in recognition of its Active Brake Assist 4. 

Judges’ comments

The ABA4 is a major safety advancement which should reduce collisions and therefore improve uptime. 

It will be particularly suited to urban environments and the pedestrian safety aspect could be used to improve the public’s general perception of the industry.
