T.O.M Vehicle Rental has announced plans to introduce 30 Mercedes-Benz Vitos to its fleet this September.

T.O.M believe they will become one of the first UK rental companies to offer the new product.

The Vito 109 CDI Long FWD models which will be supplied by T.O.M’s own Mercedes-Benz dealerships at Ayr, Aberdeen and Highland are part of the company’s investment in Mercedes-Benz vans during 2015, which will exceed £20 million as the company positions itself to cope with the rising demand for quality commercial vehicles nationwide, as T.O.M aims to strengthen its reputation for investing in modern and up-to date vans.

The current average age of its van fleet is 17 months.

The New Vitos will be joined by ongoing fleet purchases of Citan and Sprinter panel vans of various sizes and specifications, as well as Sprinter crew cabs and chassis cabs, all bolstering the company’s fleet to support the continued growth from its existing customer base across the UK.

James Rafferty, group sales director of T.O.M Vehicle Rental, said: “It is important for our reputation with customers that the vehicles we supply are modern, fuel-efficient and stand up to the demands of the job.

“Mercedes-Benz vans are tried and tested – our customers can look forward to lower fuel costs, excellent reliability and the highest level of service back-up in our industry.

“We are grateful for the support we receive from Mercedes-Benz and look forward to improving our strong relationship with the brand as our rental business continues to grow”
