Jaama: Case study

Jaama ‘helps us to efficiently run our business’

Ogilvie Fleet plans for rapid growth using Key2 and MiFleet technologies

Fast-expanding contract hire and leasing company Ogilvie Fleet uses Jaama’s sophisticated Key2 internetbased software to help it deliver its multiaward- winning product portfolio and customer service initiatives.

Ogilvie Fleet, whose fleet has expanded to almost 14,000 leased cars and vans, with a further 1,600 on fleet management, is targeting significant growth over the next five years.

It employs more than 80 people at its headquarters in Stirling and offices in Belfast and Sheffield and it uses Key2 across the business from employee quotes to vehicle ordering, through in-life management and ultimate asset disposal. It implemented Key2 Contract Hire and Leasing in 2008.

More recently, Ogilvie Fleet and Jaama worked together to develop Ogilvie’s award- winning Mifleet reporting tool. MiFleet is the most innovative online reporting tool in the industry and enables fleet decision-makers to view their entire fleet on one page. A traffic light system identifies minute-by-minute, by exception, company and ‘grey fleet’, vehicles that require ‘action now’ (red), ‘action soon’ (amber) or ‘no action’ (green).

In-built dashboard functionality enables fleet chiefs to access a wealth of data on every vehicle and driver to monitor compliance and take action if necessary.

Andy Stephen, Ogilvie Fleet’s business support director, said: “Almost every part of our business uses Key2; it’s a cradle-tograve solution that helps us to efficiently run our business.”

Critical to that is data protection, which is why Jaama achieved ISO 27001:2013 certification for its information security management.

Over the coming three to five years, Ogilvie Fleet has ambitious targets to increase its fleet size to 20,000 vehicles. Stephen said: “The way we will do that is by continuing to be at the forefront of our industry, delivering the best levels of customer service and utilising the most technologically advanced software.”

Ogilvie Fleet has won a string of awards from industry publications, including Fleet News, as well as six consecutive awards since 2010 from Experteye, for customer service and customer innovation, due to being “front of mind” for fleet decisionmakers.

Stephen said: “Mifleet has been instrumental in helping our brand visibility and the investment we have put in, working alongside Jaama has undoubtedly helped us to further differentiate ourselves as quite possibly the most innovative and unique contract hire company in the UK.”

Both Ogilvie Fleet and Jaama have a policy of continuous software development, to further maximise fleet efficiency and reduce administration.

Looking to the future, Stephen said: “Ogilvie Fleet is working every day with Jaama to develop its technological capabilities. There are no rest days when it comes to innovation and delivering industry leading service”.

Leasing companies choose Jaama’s Key2

Contract hire and leasing companies across Britain and overseas have chosen Jaama as their system provider.

The decision of leasing companies listed in the Fleet News’ ‘FN50’ publication – as well as a number of contract hire companies outside the top 50 ranked by fleet size – to use the key2 system underlines Jaama’s status as the number one provider of technologically advanced business solutions to vehicle leasing businesses.

The independent leasing companies using Key2 include: Days Fleet, Fleet Hire, JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions,Merrion Fleet Management, Seven Asset Management and Total Motion.

Jaama managing director Martin Evans said: “Key2 is unquestionably the system of choice for contract hire and leasing companies and enables them to compete with the industry’s
largest organisations. The technology is so technically advanced and configurable it negates the requirement to spend vast amounts of time and financial resource developing in- house systems.”
