Sema Lease, which specialises in 12-month leases, has appointed Vehicle Quality Solutions (VQS) to manage its end of lease inspections on its 3,000-strong fleet.

VQS is responsible for inspecting thousands of cars coming back from SMEs and large corporates each year, which is a vital part of Sema’s supply chain to help assess the condition of a vehicle prior to it being sold via its network of disposal routes.

Tony Hare, Sema Lease’s sales and marketing director said: “Our 12-month lease business model is based on getting business people into cars short term to support their bespoke vehicle needs and we have battled in the past with a poor consistency of vehicle inspections.

“VQS has resolved that problem by using its own vehicle inspection system supported by a network of highly trained inspectors. We now have an efficient and consistent inspection service that we can trust,” he added.

Steve Weston, VQS operations director, said: “The Norfolk based business has captured the market in short term leases and we are pleased to be able to provide them with a consistent and professional nationwide inspection service.”
