Total Motion has showed its support for the armed forces community by officially signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families are treated fairly.

By signing this agreement, Total Motion reported that it is “the first fleet management company to join the growing list of organisations offering their support”.

Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Parker, of 7th Infantry Brigade, signed the Covenant on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, alongside Total Motion’s founder Simon Hill (pictured) at a Leicester-based ceremony.

Hill said: “The levels of training provided by the military are incredibly high and it’s been amazing to see just how far those skills transfer into the business environment.

“Signing the Covenant confirms our pledge to back service personnel, whether they are our employees or our clients.”

Ministry of Defence’s regional employer engagement director for the East Midlands John Wilson said: “It’s great that a thriving business such as Total Motion has signed the Armed Forces Covenant.

“It shows that the company understands how broad a skill set service personnel develop through their military training and the many benefits that can provide to employers.

“Strengthening its relationship with the Armed Forces community is likely to help Total Motion grow further in the future.”
