Up for grabs is a wonderful opportunity for a Fleet and Transport manager to join our operations taking full leadership for the transport function within our Chessington Service Centre and out-bases. Reporting directly to the Service Centre Manager, you will manage the transport operation of both drivers and fleet within the company’s financial and operational objectives whilst ensuring legal compliance. You will be part of the senior management team within the site and will therefore be responsible for driving the correct behaviours and as a result delivering continuous improvement. The fleet and transport manager will ensure that transport labour costs and fleet overheads are contained within monthly budgetary limits and monitor this through the implementation of a robust control mechanism.
Alliance Healthcare is a leading distributor and wholesaler of pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare products, serving over 16,200 pharmacies, hospitals and dispensing doctors throughout the UK on a twice daily basis.

We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills and the ability to build effective relationships in order to drive individual performance. You must be a CPC holder and will have proven demonstrable experience within a similar role with a successful track record in leading through change and transformation.
You will come with experience of leading a large team across various locations including a transport management team. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also key as is experience in managing a large fleet end to end, ensuring safety and compliance.
This role requires someone with previous experience in working with telematics data as well as being organised, highly analytical and resilient. You will be driven and tenacious with knowledge of continuous improvement and must have a demonstrable track record of developing your team with a focus on succession planning. Experience of working in a unionised environment is also useful.
